Stow each valve cover nut while discarding the washer before extracting both the valve cover and its gasket while taking care to protect the Camshaft bearing surfaces and lobes from damage. Use a wrench to detach the intake Camshaft gear bolt then remove the intake Camshaft gear from its position. Holding the exhaust Camshaft gear in place first you should remove the exhaust Camshaft gear bolt followed by the exhaust Camshaft gear.
