A: To replace the Differential side bearings on the 8.0 " axle you would need the following tools: we have the following items; j 8092 universal driver handle (J 8092), j 21784 side bearing installer (J 21784), j 22888-d side bearing puller kit (J 22888-D), and j 45231 Differential side bearing installer (J 45231). Start by taking out the Differential and fixing the Differential assembly to a vise. To remove the Differential side bearings, apply the j 22888-20a and j 8107-2 in removing. After removal, extract the Differential assembly from the vise. For installation, cover the Differential case when working in a position opposite to the bearing installation, by using the j 8107-2. Next, attach the j 45231 and j 8092 on the Differential case bearing and inch the bearing onto the case in one assembly. Finally, reinstall the Differential.
