• Q: How to replace the Heater Core on 2008 Chevrolet Corvette?

  A: Start by removing the hvac module because replacement of the Heater Core necessitates discarding the hvac module assembly foam seal. Before working on the dtm sensor disconnect both electrical connectors and the hvac wire harness pin from its retainer. Next, disconnect the wiring harness from its retainers on the Heater Core cover then place them in an adjacent location. Start by removing the screws securing the heater cover from the hvac module and separating the heater cover separately from the hvac module and then the Heater Core. Throughout the Heater Core installation process always maintain new installation of Heater Core seals. Start the installation process with the Heater Core sealings then insert the Heater Core inside the hvac module. Insert the heater cover before tightening its mounting screws to 1.6 n.m (14 lb in). Attach both parts of the hvac wiring harness connector to the Heater Core cover retainers prior to joining the hvac module wiring harness retainer pin and the dtm sensor electrical connectors. Finally, reinstall the hvac module.
