2007 Chevrolet Corvette Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Heater Core on 2007 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: The first step in replacing the Heater Core requires hvac module removal followed by discarding the hvac module assembly foam seal. Disconnect both electrical connectors of the discharge temperature management sensor and the retainer pin of the hvac module wiring harness from the hvac module. The wiring harness should be disconnected from Heater Core cover wire harness retainers while being moved to the side. First remove all heater cover screws before extracting both the heater cover from the hvac module and finally the Heater Core. New Heater Core seals should always be used during installation of the Heater Core. You should begin by attaching a new foam seal to the Heater Core after which you should place the Heater Core back into the hvac module. Fit the heater cover onto the hvac module while fastening it using the heater cover screws until they attain 1.6 n.m (14 lb in) of torque. Installation of the hvac module requires connecting the hvac wiring harness to Heater Core cover wiring harness retainers followed by attaching the hvac module wiring harness retainer pin to the hvac module and joining the dtm sensor electrical connectors before the hvac module installation.
