  • Q: How to replace the steering knuckle in the rear suspension on 2008 Chevrolet Corvette?
    A: To remove the Steering Knuckle from the rear suspension, one would have to initially, lift and jack up the car to support it and take off the tire and wheel assembly. Remove the wheel speed sensor harness connector and esc position sensor link. Take out the brake rotor, then disconnect the outer Tie Rod End from the suspension knuckle. Then, remove the Spindle Nut retainer, Spindle Nut, and washer, then separate the suspension knuckle from the upper Control Arm as well as the lower Control Arm ball joint stud. After taking away the suspension knuckle install the new knuckle to the lower Control Arm ball joint stud, and then the upper Control Arm. Reinstall the Spindle Nut, washer, and retainer, along with outer Tie Rod End. Put on the brake rotor, the caliper, reconnect the wheel speed sensor harness connector, and the esc position sensor link, and reinstall the tire and wheel assembly. Lastly, bring down the vehicle and rear wheel alignment.
