Start by lifting and supporting the vehicle before replacing the Engine Oil Pressure Sensor or Switch. Disconnect the electrical connector of the oil pressure indicator switch from its position on the engine block to remove this component. Apply the specified oil pressure indicator switch thread sealer from Sealers, Adhesives, and Lubricants. Screw in the oil pressure indicator switch while applying 16 N.m (12 lb ft) of torque. Lower the vehicle after first reattaching the oil pressure indicator switch electrical connector.
