How to replace the left engine mount on 2008 Chevrolet Express 3500?

The first step in left Engine Mount replacement involves raising the vehicle for support while you take off both tire and wheel components. The removal of front propeller shafts becomes necessary for all 4wd vehicle types. Before mounting the new engine component at the wheel well observe caution by avoiding placement of jacking equipment beneath the Oil Pan sheet metal or crankshaft balancer to prevent damages. Support the lifted engine with adjustable screw-type jackstands and take it high enough just for Engine Mount extraction. Start the replacement by removing the front Engine Mount bolts through the wheel well and afterward remove the rear Engine Mount bolts which are located under the vehicle before extracting the mount from the vehicle. To install the Engine Mount inside the vehicle first place it into position and fasten the rear mount to under-vehicle bolts without tightening then add front mount to wheel well bolts while tightening them to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). When the engine is positioned at floor level drivers should mount the engine directly to frame mounting bolts at the wheel well and fasten them with 60 n.m (44 lb ft) torque. The front propeller shaft installation for 4wd vehicles needs to be completed before putting the tire and wheel onto the vehicle prior to engine lowering.
