How to replace the front shock absorber assembly on 2008 Chevrolet HHR?

To replace the strut assembly, raising the vehicle to tire and wheel assembly just as high as possible. Afterwards, take the stabilizer shaft link from the frontal suspension strut. After that, remove the front suspension strut mounting nut on the front suspension strut stud . Loosen the jam nut and rotate the bolt (supplied with the king pin) until it doesn't move anymore. Remove the bolt and drop it down, out of the way. Unscrew the front suspension strut nut on the front suspension strut bolts and, disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connectors and . Move the wheel speed sensor bracket to the side, take out the front suspension strut bolts from the front suspension strut and remove the front suspension strut from the vehicle . When installing the front suspension strut into the vehicle, attach the front suspension front mounting nuts on the front suspension strut studs and torque them to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). With the help of the adjustable jack stand lift the lower Control Arm in order to install the front suspension strut before installing the front suspension strut bolts in the front suspension strut. Switch the wheel speed sensor electrical connectors back , install the wheel speed sensor bracket to the front suspension strut bolts , and install the front suspension strut nuts to the front suspension strut bolts, tightening factory recommended 120 n.m (89 lb ft). Finally, weld the stabilizer shaft link onto the front suspension strut, install the tire and the wheel assembly, and adjust the front end.
