  A: The first step for replacing the Secondary Air Injection Pump requires removing the air cleaner upper housing. Open the hood and disattach the secondary air output hose quick connect from the pump while removing the tube. Support the vehicle properly at an elevated position after which disconnect the air feed tube quick connect fitting from the pump. Use gloved hands to disconnect the engine wiring harness connector from the air pump wiring harness connector by joining the clip while you push it upward to break away from the bracket. Remove the air pump nuts and proceed with lowering the vehicle in position. Before removing the pump use necessary tube movements to position the air pump feed tube.
