How to replace the right side engine mount on 2008 GMC Canyon?

The replacement process of right side engine mount begins by detaching the wheel assembly from the vehicle. Before starting the replacement remove any engine shield present. A jack stand with block of wood should support the engine during maintenance. Wrench off the through bolt that secures the engine mount-to-frame bracket for the damaged mount while next loosening the left-side bolt. The jack stand aids in elevating the engine which creates a one-sided tilt position to remove the engine mount bolts before you can detach the mount by articulating its removal. Initiate new engine mount installation by making necessary articulations before starting with the engine mount bolts beginning with the first position bolt and tightening them up to 50 N.m (37 lb ft). Lower the engine and attach the engine mount-to-frame bracket through bolt by tightening it to 85 N.m (63 lb ft) torque. The jack stand should be removed before reinstalling the engine shield (if present) while the wheel and tire assembly needs to be reinstalled afterward.
