How to replace the fuel level sensor on 2008 GMC Envoy?

In order to change the fuel level sensor, disassemble the fuel sender assembly and disconnect the electrical connector. Take out the pigtail wires, and record the orientation of the float. Move the sensor downwards to release it. To install, place the new sensor, attach the pigtail wires and re-assemble the fuel sender assembly.
