How to replace the rear coil springs, insulator, and jounce bumper on 2009 Cadillac CTS?

Before beginning the work you must first raise the vehicle while keeping it supported before taking out the tire assembly along with the wheel. First detach the stabilizer shaft link from the lower Control Arm before moving to separate the trailing arm bolt at the knuckle and the adjustable link bolt from the knuckle. Avoid removing the lower Control Arm's nut and bolt from the frame because this excessive movement can result. It's critical not to remove the lower Control Arm frame nuts or bolts while allowing wheel drive shaft movement through the knuckle. You should first disassemble the wheel drive shaft from the knuckle before placing a transmission jack under the lower Control Arm. Uninstall the lower shock absorber bolt at the knuckle point then uninstall the lower Control Arm bolt at the knuckle point. The transmission jack stand should be lowered slowly in order to remove the coil spring , insulator , and jounce bumper while the knuckle receives supporting movement upward and outward from helpers. Position the jounce bumper , insulator , and coil spring back in place before the transmission jack stand helps raise the lower Control Arm. Connect all bolts loosely at first then apply final tightness according to torque specifications. Assisted by someone, place the lower Control Arm on the knuckle before securing all bolts including lower Control Arm bolt, trailing arm bolt in the knuckle, adjustable link bolt in the knuckle, and lower shock absorber bolt in the knuckle. The stabilizer shaft link mounts to the lower Control Arm after which users should tighten the wheel drive shaft nut and return the tire with its wheel assembly. The support should be removed and the vehicle can be lowered before aligning the rear suspension.
