How to Replace a Coolant Pipe in the Radiator Surge Tank for Outlet on 2009 Cadillac CTS?

To replace the radiator surge tank outlet hose/pipe, first let us partially drain the cooling system using the cooling system draining and filling (GE 47716). Now, disconnect the surge tank hose from the surge tank outlet pipe and pull away the shield of fuel pipe. Bolt off the surge tank outlet pipe bolt from the Cylinder Head and the Thermostat Housing and remove the surge tank outlet pipe from the Thermostat Housing. For installation, install the surge tank outlet pipe with a new o-ring seal to the Thermostat Housing be sure to comply to the fastener caution. Install the surge tank outlet pipe bolt to the Thermostat Housing and tighten in a 15 nm (11 lb ft),and repeat to the Cylinder Head. Connect the surge tank hose back to the surge tank outlet pipe and replace the fuel pipe shield. Lastly, complete the cooling system draining and filling (GE 47716).
