To remove the Coolant Pipe outlet (LP1, LY7), drain the cooling system. You then have to use the hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to pull the radiator inlet hose off the cool ant outlet pipe. Then, take out the bolt connecting the oil level indicator tube, coolant outlet pipe and the engine front lift bracket to the Cylinder Head. Then remove the coolant outlet pipe from the
Thermostat Housing and throw out the o-ring seals. Lubricate two new o-ring seals with coolant, make sure that the seals are not twisted and install them around the outlet pipe groove of the coolant. Fit the coolant outlet pipe to the Thermostat Housing and tighten the bolt of the oil level indicator tube, coolant outlet pipe, and the engine front lift bracket to the Cylinder Head with the oil level indicator tube bolt to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). At last, use the hose clamp pliers (J 38185), in order to connect the radiator inlet hose to the coolant outlet pipe and fill the cooling system.
