How to replace the engine inlet coolant pipe on 2009 Cadillac SRX?

The replacement process for engine coolant inlet pipe begins with vehicle suspension and support. Lower the vehicle after removing the Coolant Pipe to generator bracket bolt. Drain the cooling system. First separate the radiator outlet hose from the Coolant Pipe and delete the wiring harnesses from the coolant inlet pipe. Begin by taking out the bolts securing the Coolant Pipe to thermostat and cylinder head followed by complete Coolant Pipe removal. Begin installation by positioning the Coolant Pipe correctly then fasten all the Coolant Pipe bolts loosely. Torque the Coolant Pipe to thermostat bolt to 23 nm (17 lb ft) before torquing the Coolant Pipe to cylinder head bolt to 50 nm (37 lb ft). After securing the vehicle by its jack stands wait for the vehicle to stabilize before installing and torquing the Coolant Pipe to generator bracket bolt to 23 nm (17 lb ft). Reconnect the radiator outlet hose to the Coolant Pipe while you put back the wiring harnesses which attach to the coolant inlet pipe. Finally, fill the cooling system.
