How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) for Bank 1 Sensor 1 on 2009 Cadillac STS?

Begin replacing the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) for bank 1 sensor 1 after turning off the ignition. First remove the sight shield from the fuel injector if replacement is needed. First disconnect the ho2s electrical connector then remove the sensor from its position on the wiring harness bracket. The sensor's pigtail and connector experience should be protected from damage during the vehicle lift process. Engine temperatures above 48°c (120°F) make it easier to remove the Oxygen Sensor. Extract the ho2s from its position within the Catalytic Converter. Before installing either a new sensor or reused ho2s, it is necessary to apply anti-seize compound p/n 5613695 to the threads unless the compound is already there. Mount the Catalytic Converter ho2s while tightening the connection to 40 nm (30 lb ft). Connect the ho2s electric connector after lowering the vehicle then fasten it to the wiring harness bracket. To finish the installation process replace the fuel injector sight shield when it was previously taken off.
