The first step to replace the left Fuel Level Sensor requires removal of the left Fuel Tank module with the Fuel Pump module o-ring from the Fuel Tank opening. The level sensor requires pressure on its locking tab for detachment from the module with the internal connector wire position noted before disconnecting the wires. Connect the wires of the level sensor to the internal connector properly before sliding the new sensor into position until the click of the locking tab while keeping the wires below the sensor. The left Fuel Tank module installation requires a new Fuel Pump module o-ring for placement at the tank opening before reattaching the module. Check resistance measurements of the Fuel Pump module with a digital multi-meter while using tech 2 to confirm 250 ohms when the tank is empty and 40 ohms when full and empty tank readings of 2.5 v and 0.71 v respectively.
