2009 Chevrolet Aveo A/C Condenser Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the A/C Condenser (except in North America) on 2009 Chevrolet Aveo?
A: Before replacing the air conditioning condenser in most areas, take off the negative Battery Cable, make sure to discharge and recover the refrigerant. Loosen and take off the liquid pipe block connector bolt and refrigerant discharge hose connector bolt that sit on the condenser. Then, take off the Radiator and cover every opening so contamination is avoided. Once the mount bolts are out, take out the condenser from the Radiator. It is important to put new o-rings on the receiver-dryer tube connections and that the condenser rubber mounts are fitted before installing the condenser to the Radiator, with the lower shock protectors inserted in the holes. Put in the condenser mount bolts and use a torque wrench to tighten the upper bolts to 8 nm (70 lb in). After putting the Radiator back in place, secure the refrigerant discharge hose connector block bolt at the condenser to 16 nm (12 lb ft) and the liquid pipe connector block to condenser retaining bolt to 14 nm (1 you should connect the negative battery terminal and evacuate the a/c system to finish up.
