Before performing a Parking Brake Front Cable replacement one must free the park brake followed by removing the park brake pedal. You must roll back the carpet to reach the cable anchor nut and grommet before removing the anchor nut. The floor should receive the cable and grommet removal. First support the vehicle during elevated height before disconnecting the front cable from the intermediate cable and pulling out the cable from its frame bracket by pressing the retaining tabs. To install the components start by putting in the new cable and pressing the bracket retainer into the frame fitting. Attach the front cable to the intermediate cable followed by routing it through the floor pan while engaging the grommet. Take out the safety stands while bringing down the vehicle. You should tighten the anchor nut to 13 Nm (115 lb in) when mounting the cable anchor to the floor stud. Proceed with installing the park brake pedal after placing the carpet tucked in position. Adjust the park brake system as the last step.
