Start by supporting the open front door when replacing the front side door hinge. The front door hinge reception moves the door to the full extent allowed by rubber conduit after bolt removal. The mounting surfaces should be cleaned with a rag then the front door hinge locations should be marked on both surfaces with a grease pencil or marker. The installation requires removal of front doorside hinge bolts followed by the doorside hinge and subsequent revelation of bolts from the bodyside hinge and removal of the bodyside hinge. To install the bodyside hinge position it at the alignment marks while securing its bolts to the hinge and tightening them to 33 Nm (24 lb ft). Apply the doorside hinge next to the bodyside hinge before putting service bolts onto the front door hinge where they will need tightening to 33 Nm (24 lb ft). Install and tighten the doorside hinge bolts to 33 Nm (24 lb ft) then remove the support while checking the door operation and alignment.
