    A: The process of replacing the engine coolant Fan Motor begins with fundamental safety measures by maintaining a distance between hands clothing and tools and all underhood electric fans which might activate even outside engine operation. You should disconnect the negative battery cable before proceeding to stop electrical sparks. Commence the Fan Motor replacement by removing the Fan Shroud from the vehicle held while stopping the Fan Blade movement. Turn the ge-47827 (Socket) to rotate the Fan Motor drive plate counter to the arrow direction on the blade so you can disengage it. The blade removal process should be followed by tight sealing all entry points to protect the cooling Fan Motor from debris entry. Drill and center punch the Fan Motor rivets with a 6.35 mm (0.25 in) drill bit until removal before extracting the Fan Motor from the Fan Shroud by tapping out the rivets. Afterwards, blow away any remaining debris. You should install the new engine cooling Fan Motor into the Fan Shroud while facing it correctly and inserting bolts through the gaps at the front side of the shroud. Screw the cooling Fan Motor bolts to the Fan Shroud while tightening them to 6 nm (53 lb in). Heat the new Fan Blade hub in hot tap water that reaches about 49°c (120°F) for at least one minute before installation with the requirement of no cooling for longer than one minute. After heating the new engine cooling Fan Blade should be placed onto the Fan Motor drive plate followed by using ge-47827 (Socket) to rotate the drive plate with arrow alignment for complete attachment. To achieve proper rotation install the cooling Fan Blade before putting back the Fan Shroud assembly to the vehicle.
