Follow up by aligning the cooling Fan Blade and confirmed it spins correctly before reinstalling the vehicle's Fan Shroud assembly.

Position the new Fan Blade on the Fan Motor drive plate immediately after heating its hub in hot tap water that exceeds 49±c (120±F) for at least 60 seconds. Cover the Fan Blade while you align the ge-47827 socket (GE-47827) to rotate the Fan Motor drive plate in accordance with the Fan Blade arrow until proper engagement becomes visible. The cooling Fan Blade rotation should be checked for proper function before reinstalling the Fan Shroud assembly on the vehicle.

Center punch and drill out the rivets from the fan motor using a 6.35 mm (0.25 in) drill bit, then tap the rivets out and remove the fan motor from the fan shroud, blowing off any excess debris.

Center punch and drill the heads of the rivets from the rear of the motor using a 6.35 mm (0.25 in) drill bit, then tap the rivets out of the fan shroud and remove the fan motor.

Blow off any excess debris before removing the tape covering the entry points.

Position the new engine cooling fan motor to the fan shroud and insert the bolts from the front side, followed by the cooling fan motor nuts, tightening them to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

Tighten them to 6 Nm (53 lb in).

Position the new engine cooling fan motor to the fan shroud and insert the bolts from the front side, then install the cooling fan motor nuts and tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb in).
