How to replace the steering knuckle on 2009 Chevrolet Impala?

In order to replace the Steering Knuckle, first, lift and support the vehicle. Your step here should be to remove the bearing/hub assembly, and then remove the ball stud from the front lower control arm. Next, loosen the outer Tie Rod End from the Steering Knuckle. If servicing other suspension or steering parts, scribe the strut to the knuckle, remove bolts and nuts that attach strut to knuckle then taken knuckle out of the vehicle. For installation, reinstall the knuckle onto the vehicle placing the bolt and nut which connects the strut to the knuckle knitting it to torque value of 130 nm (96 lb ft). Secure the outer tie rod to the Steering Knuckle, attach the front lower control arm ball stud to the knuckle, and put the front wheel drive shaft bearing in place. Finally, adjust the vehicle and check the front wheel alignment, make appropriate adjustments.
