How to replace the Exhaust Heat Shield on the LLV (2.9L) on 2009 GMC Canyon?

Replacements of the llv (2.9L) exhaust manifold heat shield begin with removing both the air cleaner outlet duct and air cleaner assembly. The transmission filler tube bracket nut must be removed from the a.i.r. Adapter if m30 is installed before setting it aside. The first step requires disconnection of the heated Oxygen Sensor from the exhaust manifold followed by removing three heat shield securing nuts on the exhaust manifold and finally removing the heat shield. The new heat shield needs to be positioned onto the exhaust manifold followed by applying gm p/n 12371386 (Canadian P/N 993128) as anti-seize to all heat shield nuts. Fasten the ho2s to the exhaust manifold by tightening all nuts to 10 nm (89 lb in). Reposition the transmission filler tube to attach it with the bracket nut which needs a torque of 12.5 nm (111 lb in). Place back the air cleaner outlet duct along with the air cleaner assembly.
