How to replace the exhaust heat shield for the catalytic converter on 2010 GMC Canyon?

Start by raising the vehicle off the ground before you support it. First remove the 5 nuts holding down the heat shield to the floor panel before removing the catalytic converter heat shield from its position on the floor panel. Mount the replacement catalytic converter heat shield onto its floor panel studs. Fasten the floor panel heat shield by tightening its 5 nuts to 9 Nm torque (80 lb in) settings. Finally, lower the vehicle.
