How to replace the exhaust muffler on LLV/LLR with 2.9L/3.7L engines on 2010 GMC Canyon?

Raise and support the vehicle, avoiding brake-hose strain. Remove lower shock and right rear leaf-spring fasteners, block the axle, then unbolt muffler from catalytic converter. Soap hanger rods, pry hangers free, slide and rotate muffler out. Reverse for installation, hand-tighten flange nuts, reinstall suspension fasteners, check for leaks, lower vehicle.
