• Q: How to replace the digital radio antenna cable on 2009 GMC Envoy?

  A: Start by removing right windshield garnish molding and instrument panel (I/P) trim pad and right sunshade and inboard retaining clip followed by lowering the front section of the headliner. You must disconnect the electrical connectors from the digital radio Antenna assembly then remove the right front door sill plate before beginning. First remove the coaxial cable from the right windshield pillar then lower the right closeout insulator panel. You must first disconnect the coaxial cable that goes to the digital radio receiver followed by removing the lower portion of the rose bud at the cowl. Use a mechanics wire to attach the cable's end after which guide the cable through the cowl insulator access hole by pulling upward to free the upper rose bud . Remove the mechanics wire from the coaxial cable before taking it out of the vehicle. To begin installation connect the mechanics wire to the end of the coaxial cable and carefully remove the rose bud if your setup includes one from the coaxial cable.
