How to replace the upper control arm on 2009 GMC Savana 2500?

In order to replace the upper Control Arm, lower the vehicle and jack stands and raise and support the vehicle as well as the lower Control Arm with a jack stand. Remove the tire and wheel, then take out the retaining bolts for the brake hose and wheel speed sensor brackets.if necessary, take away the wheel drive shaft. Remove the upper Ball Joint retaining nut and disconnect the upper Control Arm from Steering Knuckle with tool j 43631 (Ball Joint Remover) and j 45851 (Ball Joint Separator Protector Adapters). Then unbolt the upper Control Arm nuts, adjustment cams and bolts, and remove the arm. For installation, mount the new upper Control Arm with the bolts using the fastener caution instructions. Tighten the upper Control Arm nuts and adjustment cams to 175 nm (129 lb ft). Attach the upper Control Arm to the Steering Knuckle and install a new upper Ball Joint retaining nut and tighten it up 50 nm (37 lb ft). When necessary, replace the wheel drive shaft and tighten the retaining bolts for brake hose and wheel speed sensor brackets braking hose bracket to Steering Knuckle bolt and braking hose bracket to upper Control Arm bolt to 10 nm (88 lb in). Finally, install the tire and wheel back, take off the safety stands, bring the vehicle down and inspect the wheel alignment.
