    To remove the upper Control Arm, lift and support vehicle appropriately, then lift the lower Control Arm using a jack stand. Take off the tire and wheel, then brake hose and wheel speed sensor retaining bolts. Remove the wheel drive shaft if applicable. Next, peel back the boot and remove the upper Ball Joint nut and disconnect the upper Control Arm to the Steering Knuckle using the j 43631 (Ball Joint Remover) and j 458515 (Ball Joint Separator Protector Adapters). Go on to pull off your upper Control Arm nuts and adjustment cams and then the upper Control Arm bolts, and then finally pulling off your upper Control Arm. In case of installation, you should first install the new upper Control Arm and the bolts really tight to the nuts using 175 n.m (129 lb ft). Fasten the Steering Knuckle to the upper Control Arm and reinstall the new upper Ball Joint retaining nut and tighten it to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). If necessary, replace the wheel drive shaft and install the retaining bolts for brake hose and wheel speed sensor brackets tightening the brake hose bracket to Steering Knuckle bolt to 10 n.m (88 lb in) and the brake hose bracket to upper Control Arm Bolt to 10 n.m (88 lb in). Lastly, install the tire, wheel and remove the safety stands, lower the vehicle and validate wheel alignment.

    To replace the upper Control Arm, one has to lift and support the vehicle also to support the lower Control Arm to use a jack stand. Remove the tire and wheel, then disconnect the retaining bolts of brake hose and wheel speed sensor brackets. Take the wheel drive shaft off if it applies. Remove the upper ball joint retaining nut and disconnect the upper Control Arm to the Steering Knuckle, using the j 43631 (Ball Joint Remover) and dsl 45851 (Ball Joint Separator Protector Adapters). Next step involves removing the upper Control Arm nuts, adjustment cams, and bolts together with the removal of the upper Control Arm. For installation, install the new upper Control Arm, tighten the bolts and have the fastener caution guidelines followed. Remove spanner used to tighten the upper Control Arm nuts and adjustment cams, not tightening them more 175 nm (129 lb ft). Reconnect the upper Control Arm to the Steering Knuckle, and install a brand-new upper ball joint retaining nut, tightening it to 50 nm (37 lb ft). If necessary, replace the wheel drive shaft, securing the retaining bolts of the brake hose and wheel speed sensor brackets and tightening the brake hose bracket to Steering Knuckle bolt and brake hose bracket to upper Control Arm bolt to 10 nm (88 lb in). Finally, reinstall the tire and wheel, take out the safety stands, put back the vehicle, and inspect the wheel alignment.
