How to replace the lower control arm on a rear-wheel drive on 2007 GMC Savana 2500?

Start by raising your vehicle and supporting it before removing both tire and wheel to access the lower Control Arm of a rear-wheel drive vehicle. Start by uninstalling the front coil spring followed by removing the lower Ball Joint retaining nut. Use Ball Joint remover j 43631 together with Ball Joint separator protector adapters j 45851 to disconnect the lower Ball Joint from the Steering Knuckle before removing the lower Control Arm. To begin installation start with the lower Control Arm and connect the lower Ball Joint to the Steering Knuckle. After inserting the lower Ball Joint retaining nut apply 100 n.m (74 lb ft) of torque to it. The last step involves installing the front coil spring and tire and wheel combination followed by vehicle lowering and wheel alignment checking.
