Before accessing the lower Control Arm for replacement in rear-wheel drive vehicles drivers should first lift and stabilize the car and remove both wheels and tires. Proceed by taking out the vehicle's front coil spring. Use j 43631 (
Ball Joint Remover) and j 45851 (Ball Joint Separator Protector Adapters) to disconnect the lower Ball Joint from the
Steering Knuckle after removing its retaining nut. When the installation of the new lower Control Arm begins you should attach the Ball Joint to the Steering Knuckle. Fasten the new lower Ball Joint retaining nut using torque settings at 100 nm (74 lb ft). The installation process begins with placing the front coil spring before setting the tire and wheel followed by lowering the vehicle. Finally, check the wheel alignment.
