How to replace the lower control arm on a rear-wheel drive on 2008 Chevrolet Express 2500?

A rear-wheel drive vehicle requires vehicle lifting before tire removal follows as the first stage in replacing the lower Control Arm. Take off the front coil spring first. The j 43631 Ball Joint remover (J 43631) and the j 45851 Ball Joint separator protector adapters (J 45851) are used to detach the lower Ball Joint from the Steering Knuckle after first removing the lower Ball Joint retaining nut. After the removal of the old Control Arm position the new one and affix the Steering Knuckle lower Ball Joint. Tighten the lower Ball Joint retaining nut until torque reaches 100 n.m (74 lb ft). After reattaching the front coil spring and tire and wheel combination, lower the vehicle back to the ground. Finally, check the wheel alignment.
