To access the lower control arm of a rear-wheel drive car and change it, elevate and maintain the car, take off the tire and wheel. Disassemble the front coil spring, unscrew the lower ball joint off the steering knuckle and replace the lower control arm. Install the front coil spring, tire, and wheel, lower vehicle and wheel alignment.
