2010 Buick Lucerne Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the engine flywheel on 2010 Buick Lucerne?
A: The first step to replace an engine Flywheel requires the removal of any automatic transaxle. The j 37096 (Flywheel Holder) should be used to clamp the Flywheel before using it to stop Crankshaft rotation while the bolts are loosened. Secure the Flywheel with j 37096 while removing five bolts then handle the remaining bolt to extract it without letting the Flywheel drop. The cleaning process should focus on the engine Flywheel bolt threads and holes after removing the mill. Stand the Flywheel on the Crankshaft and tighten its bolts using fingers only at first. The j 37096 tool should be used again to fix the Flywheel in place before tightening all engine Flywheel bolts to 70 nm (52 lb ft). If the automatic transaxle needed replacement the technician needs to install it during the vehicle reassembly.
