How to replace the front crankshaft seal on 2010 Cadillac CTS?

The procedure for replacing the front crankshaft oil seal starts with removal of the A/C Compressor and power steering pump Drive Belt followed by the generator and water pump Drive Belt. Separate the crankshaft balancer from its position. A flat-bladed tool should be used to extract the crankshaft oil seal. Apply no lubrication on the crankshaft front oil seal or the crankshaft balancer sealing surfaces while installing components. The oil seal installer (J 29184) should be used for the installation of the crankshaft front oil seal before reattaching the crankshaft balancer. Next come generator and water pump Drive Belt installation before adding the A/C Compressor and power steering pump Drive Belt.
