How to replace the trailing arm on 2010 Cadillac CTS?

To replace the trailing arm, you will have to remove the rear trailing arm mounting bolt from the knuckle and drop the front side of the rear suspension support down so that you can access the front trailing arm mounting bolt and nut. Next, take off the front mounting bolts of the rear suspension support, as well as take the front mounting nut and bolt for the trailing arm and, then take out the trailing arm from the vehicle. For installation, place the trailing arm into the mounting bracket and to the knuckle and install the trailing arm bolt, all the time observing the fasteners precautions. Tighten the front trailing arm nut to 150 Nm (111 lb ft), and the front mounting bolts for the rear suspension support. After that, install rear trailing arm mounting bolt and tighten it to 170 Nm (125 lb ft). Lastly, install the tire and wheel, take the support off the vehicle, lower the vehicle and check the suspension of the rear suspension.
