• Q: How to replace the fuel injector on 2010 Cadillac DTS?

  A: First remove the Fuel Rail before starting replacement of the Fuel Injector. Removal of the Fuel Injector begins with extracting the Fuel Injector Fuel Rail clip before removing the Fuel Injector. The installation process starts by discarding both upper and lower o-ring seals from the seal assembly. Position newly installed o-rings for maximum safety; place the blue-colored o-ring on top and the black o-ring below when black and blue o-rings are available. During Fuel Injector maintenance always replace the o-ring seal since poor reinstallation will result in vacuum leaks which produce driveability problems. Apply clean engine oil to the new o-ring seals before placing the upper and lower injector o-ring seals correctly on the Fuel Injector. You must reposition the Fuel Injector into its place on the Fuel Rail and torque it in with the Fuel Injector Fuel Rail clip before reattaching the Fuel Rail.
