  A: The first step to replace the air conditioning Evaporator thermal expansion valve includes separating the hvac module from the vehicle. Stop the insulation from thermal expansion valve (TXV) before discarding it. Begin by taking off the hvac line clamp screw together with its clamp before uninstalling bolts that fasten the txv to the Evaporator. The txv line bracket should be detached first so users can pull the txv directly from the Evaporator core which breaks its connection with the a/c lines. Before inserting the txv onto the Evaporator core applicants must lubricate all o-rings then mount the a/c lines before properly seating the txv. Mounted the txv line bracket by following fastener safe procedure steps. Install the txv to the Evaporator core by applying torque to the bolts at 3.5 nm (31 lb in) before reinstalling the hvac line clamp along with its clamp screw tightened at 1 nm (8 lb in).
