    A: Instead, to change the engine front cover, the drive belt tensioner as well as the crankshaft balancer should be eliminated first. Next, remove the engine front cover bolts and the engine front cover to water pump bolt. Reject the engine front cover gasket and use fitting tool to remove the crankshaft front cover oil seal followed by rejecting friction washer. For installation, put a new crankshaft front oil seal & a new friction washer in place. Place and tighten a new engine front cover gasket onto the dowel pins and tighten the engine front cover bolts, remembering to adhere to fastener caution guidelines. Install the long water pump bolt and tighten 25 nm (18 lb ft). Finally replace the crankshaft balancer and drive belt tensioner.
