How to Replace a Seat Cushion Pad and Seat Back Cover on 2010 Chevrolet Colorado?

The first step for seat back cushion cover and pad replacement begins with setting the lumbar at a relaxed position followed by seat removal from the vehicle. The first step requires removing the seat back release handle and seat cushion outer trim panel along with the head restraint. Before lifting the seat back cover off its position ensure to compress the seat back pad first and carefully extract the cover without removing the adhesive-backed strip from the pad and the j-strip at its bottom. To expose the head restraint guides teams will remove the seat back pad's hog rings secured to the reinforcement bar at top while pushing the pad and cover up and afterward taking off their velcro retaining strips located inside the seat cover. The process of removing the head restraint guides requires pressurizing their locking tabs. Subsequently the seat back cover can be fully extracted from the vehicle. First disconnect the electrical connector of the seat back heating element and remove the seat back pad from the frame followed by the seat back heater element. Begin installation by placing the seat back heater element first and afterward position the seat back pad onto the frame followed by connector attachment when necessary. First install the seat back cover partially while simultaneously putting in the head restraint guides until each locking tab locks into position.
