2010 Chevrolet Corvette Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the knock sensor on Bank 1 on 2010 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: The replacement process for bank 1 Knock Sensor begins by disconnecting the battery's negative terminal. The next step involves removing both the Catalytic Converter on the vehicle's left side and the left Exhaust Manifold. Start by detaching the Knock Sensor's mounting bolt then disconnect its engine harness electrical connector. The engine block holds the Knock Sensor which needs to be extracted after the sensor's removal. The Knock Sensor mounting bolt needs installation onto the engine block following sensor placement while the mechanic tightens it to 25 nm (18 lb ft). Reconnect engine harness to Knock Sensor electrical connector before mounting the component on the engine block. Reinstall the left Exhaust Manifold then place back the left Catalytic Converter. Last, reconnect the negative Battery Cable.
