In order to replace the valve lifters, dislodge the cylinder head, the guide bolts and the guides and replace them by the lifters with positions being taken note of. Take the lifters out of the guide and prepare them to be reinstated. Coat the lifters and put them into the rails, and reattach the assembly and cylinder head.
