How to replace the rear brake line on 2010 Chevrolet Equinox?

Start replacing the back brake hose by getting your vehicle up and stabilizing it at the proper height. Take off the tire and wheel parts from the vehicle. Close the brake pipe fitting end of the brake hose and put sealing caps on. First release the brake hose bracket from the wheelhouse with its bolt. Then detach the brake hose bracket bolt. Take off the brake hose after eliminating the bolt at both brake hose and caliper ends. You must discard the brake hose fitting gaskets since they cannot be used again. You should put in the fresh brake hose and affix new brake hose gaskets. Install one new gasket on each side of the brake hose fitting bolt before placing it through the brake hose. To install the brake hose fitting bolt properly twist it to 52 Nm (38 lb ft) and secure the brake hose bracket bolt at 16 Nm (12 lb ft). Put on the brake hose bolt and screw it to 16 Nm (12 lb ft). Align and fasten the brake pipe fitting at 18 Nm (13 lb ft). Before putting things back in place you need to dump the hydraulic brake system of fluid.
