To replace the rear Brake Caliper Bracket, first, suppor the brake caliper with heavy mechanics wire or a similar tool after its removal from the mounting bracket and ensure that its hydraulic flexible brake hose is not detached to avoid damage and the possibility of a brake fluid leak. Then take off the rear brake pads, then take off caliper bracket bolts , then take off the caliper bracket . Before installation, clean and check the caliper bracket boltthreads and the knuckle mounting holes to make certain that there is proper clamp load. Put thread locker, gm p/n 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488), on the Brake Caliper Bracket bolt threads. Install the caliper bracket with the bracket bolts and check the bolt torque to 120 nm (88 lb ft). Finally, put the rear brake pads and the caliper.
