How to replace the Knock Sensor (KS) on 2010 GMC Canyon?

To replace the knock sensor (KS), elevate (raise) and support the vehicle so that the KS can be accessed through the wheelhouse. Pull off the left wheelhouse liner, then pull off the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the KS. Then unscrew the KS retaining bolt and take the KS out of the engine block. For installation, ensure that when installing it back to the engine block, the electrical terminals of the KS be set rearward, and tighten the KS bolt to 25 Nm (18 lb ft). Reconnect the engine-wiring harness electrical connecter to the KS and install the left-wheel house liner before lowering the vehicle.
