How to replace the Engine Mount Bracket on Buick Century?

The first step in Engine Mount Bracket replacement requires disconnecting the battery ground (negative) cable. Start the replacement by taking out the throttle body air inlet duct followed by the engine mount struts. Securely lift up the vehicle before removing the three-way catalytic converter pipe from the rear Exhaust Manifold position on the right side. Start by taking off the right front wheel then tire while proceeding to remove the right engine splash shield. The vehicle needs to be lowered after unbolting the bracket that connects the engine mount to the Oil Pan. Implement the j28467-b universal engine support fixture for engine elevation and perform another vehicle support. Unscrew the engine mount upper nuts before you detach the Engine Mount Bracket from the engine mount. You must first connect the Engine Mount Bracket to the engine mount before installing the engine mount upper nuts while tightening them to 47 nm (35 ft. Lbs.). The procedure requires first lowering vehicle and engine before raising it and properly supporting the vehicle again. Fasten the Engine Mount Bracket onto the Oil Pan using Engine Mount Bracket-to-oil pan bolts which need to be tightened to 58 nm (43 ft. Lbs.). You must reinstall the right engine splash shield, the right front wheel and tire and then connect the three-way catalytic converter pipe with the right (rear) exhaust manifold. Next lower the vehicle while removing the j28467-b tool then reattach the engine mount struts before reinstating the throttle body air inlet duct followed by a battery ground (negative) cable reconnection. This procedure needs the combination of j28467-b universal engine support fixture (J28467-B), j28467-90a engine support adapters (J28467-90A) and j36462-a engine support adapter leg set (J36462-A) as tools.
