In order to service the Oil Filter, lift and support your vehicle to proceed and place the oil drain pan below engine oil Drain Plug and remove it. Clean and inspect the engine oil Drain Plug, repair or replace if necessary and also clean and inspect the sealing surface on the
Oil Pan, repair or replace if needed. Then, take out the Oil Filter and clean the sealing surface on the engine block, repairing or replacing the latter as required. Using clean oil lightly oil the replacement Oil Filter gasket before installing the new Oil Filter, tighten it 3/4 to 1 full turn after contacting the mounting surface. Secure the engine oil Drain Plug and tighten it to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) and then remove the oil drain pan and lower the vehicle. Add new engine oil, start the engine, and check for oil leaks. Following startup, shut down the engine and let the oil drain back into the Oil Pan for a few minutes. Take off the oil level indicator of the tube and clean the end with a paper towel or cloth, and then install it so that the handle touches the top of the tube. Replace the oil level indicator again, leaving the tip immersed, and check the oil level. If needed adjust the oil level by adding or drain engine oil.
