Buick Century HVAC Control Module Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove and install the HVAC control module on Buick Century?
A: The first step to remove the control module hvac is removing the right side ip insulator panel. Start by disconnecting the electrical connector from the Blower Motor control processor before moving to disconnect the Blower Motor control processor electrical connector from the Blower Motor. Pay attention that the slot-shaped opening on the Blower Motor control processor affects installation access as you loosen both forward bolts. First remove the rearward bolt before extracting the blower control processor while tilting it downward. When installing the Blower Motor control processor start by positioning its forward retaining slots onto the screws while placing it against the hvac module. Insert and tighten the rearward screw to 1.5 n.m (13 lb in) torque while tightening the forward screws to match this specification. You need to join the electrical connector of the Blower Motor control processor to the Blower Motor before you reconnect the electrical connector from the Blower Motor control processor. The last step involves reinstallation of the right-side ip insulator.
