The procedure for accumulator tube replacement demands refrigerant recovery followed by air cleaner assembly and vacuum Brake Booster and brake pressure modulator valve bracket removal. You should first remove the accumulator clip before you can loosen the accumulator tube nut that interacts with the accumulator. Then disconnect the accumulator tube from its position on the accumulator. First remove the accumulator tube to Evaporator core block fitting bolt then disconnect the tube from the Evaporator to take off the accumulator tube. Remove the used o-ring seal before installing a replacement one. Connect the accumulator tube to both the Evaporator and then fasten it with the Evaporator core block fitting bolt before tightening it to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). The accumulator tube needs to be connected to the accumulator while tightening the accumulator tube nut at the accumulator to 47 n.m (35 lb ft). To complete the repair task reinstall the accumulation clip followed by the vacuum Brake Booster bracket together with the brake pressure modulator valve bracket and the air cleaner assembly. Evacuation of the a/c system should follow by recharging it while testing all component fittings with the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
