    Start the Fuel Pump Strainer service and repair with the necessary equipment consisting of the fuel pressure gauge (J 34730). When working with the fuel sender assembly avoid handling by fuel pipes to protect the joints from damage while also cleaning all fuel pipe connections and hose connections together with the surrounding contacts before disassembly to prevent contamination risks. You should reduce fuel system pressure then empty the Fuel Tank until it reaches 3/4 of the total capacity. Save the proper orientation of the Fuel Pump Strainer and then remove the fuel sender assembly. Use your opposite hand to pull off the external Fuel Pump Strainer from the reservoir while sustaining the reservoir with your other hand. Verify the strainer for contaminants at this time if any are detected discard the strainer. You should separate the electrical connectors from the fuel pump sensor assembly and cover assembly along with the Fuel Level Sensor assembly.
